Trans-Pecos Nursing and Rehabilitation

I hadn't visited here in quite some time, so I was happy to see that there has been a remodel of the building. It is now called Avir at Pecos. While it is an older place, what counts most is the people who work there and provide care. Everyone was nice, friendly, and helpful. Many people do not know that Avir at Pecos has a secure unit, which means they can admit folks who tend to wander due to dementia. This keeps them safe and prevents them from accidentally wandering out and getting hurt.

All the staff at focused care gave my mama the best care until the day she passed 12.24.22. From the office, to the nursing, aides, kitchen, Housekeeping, laundry. My mama never had any complaints only good things to say about the staff. This building was the first I ever walked into as clean and never smelled. Thank you Anna DON for your gift of being able to see my mama in her last moments. God bless you all. Thank you.

My aunt Maria "Cruzita" Acosta is a resident and I appreciate everyone who contributes to her care, well-being and happiness. This has been a difficult time being that visitors are not yet allowed. Thank you for everything that is done to keep her comfortable. GOD BLESS!

I dunno how this place still open. About 2 CNA and 3 Nurse actually take care of people. The rest are to busy to care. The therapy girls seem to try and they smile all the time. You have to raise hell to make sure your family get proper care here. Sad place.
