I am 36 + 3 days pregnant. And for the past week I've been trying to transfer my care to another OB because this one is completely disorganized and unprofessional. I have not received good care for them and decided I would like to leave. I was told I had to sign a medical release form to be able to schedule with my new OB. The receptionist told me that I could go to ANY office to fill out this form. Well I went to the office closest to me which was Hampton, last Tuesday. After signing the form, I was told it would be faxed off in 5-15 minutes. Just for me to contact the new OBGYN I'm trying to transfer to and be told NOTHING was faxed to them. Ended up having to wait over the weekend to contact TPMG about this negligence. When I FINALLY got in touch with someone at the Newport News offic
I visited this office five years ago during my first pregnancy and had a very positive experience. Unfortunately, the quality of care has declined significantly. The office is now extremely disorganized. I had an appointment today with MaryAnn and waited three and a half hours without being seen. I asked the staff multiple times for an update and was repeatedly told that the provider would be in shortly. When MaryAnn finally walked by, she was eating. I approached her and gave my name, and she responded by telling the staff that she had already seen me when she had not. She did not apologize for the mix-up or the excessive delay. She never returned to my room, and I was ultimately seen by a different midwife. Because of this unprofessional and poorly managed experience, I am now switchin
Absolute poor business practice. Scheduled an appointment three weeks out. Managed to get it moved a week sooner. I get a call from the office two days later to call the office. No indication as to why. I tried calling for three days and no one ever picked up the phone. I tried multiple times over those three days. When I did finally get someone to pick up, it wasn't the office I called and I was just told to try again. The day of my appointment I go in only to be told that the message they left was to reschedule my appointment and that they couldn't leave that information on my voicemail. I drove an hour to get to my appointment and missed a half day of work and then had to drive an hour back home for nothing. I love Dr. Morrison. But the staff and the level of courtesy has definitely gon
The front desk is horrible and their organization is never timely. Expect hours of delays for every appointment. Even worse they only use a catholic hospital so if you want purely science based medicine instead of doctors that put their religious values over the health of the patient/mother this prenatal organization isn't for you. If we had known they only use a catholic hospital for delivery services we never would have used them in the first place. That is probably why they don't tell you that until the third trimester when it feels too late to change options.
We have come here for all three of our pregnancies and there are huge pros and cons, both. Pros: The front of house staff has changed since Covid and are 1000 times better! They are friendly, efficient and super helpful. Pre-Covid staff members were awful. I like the use of midwives and our L&D experience has been great every time. They only deliver at Bon Secours Mary Immaculate, so be aware of that. They are slowly updating the building and decor and the check in process and waiting area are geared toward social distancing which I appreciate in any medical setting. The ultra sound tech is amazing and very thorough during the 20 week anatomy scan. Cons (from smallest to biggest): Parking is somehow super crammed and annoying. The chairs in the waiting room are cushioned and have l
