TPMG Norge Family Medicine

About a year ago, I wrote a negative review of Dr. Travis Lipscomb but felt badly about it so I deleted it. In short, my provider Jennifer Vannoy left the practice and I met with Dr. Lipscomb as I wanted to continue care at TMPG Norge Family Medicine. Jennifer was the best practitioner I've ever experienced: I truly felt she listened to me and took me seriously, and she did not make me feel like a drug addict for being on stimulants (which were treating both my ADD, diagnosed in a neuropsychiatric evaluation, and my treatment-resistant depression). I shared with her my history of alcohol abuse, despite being sober for two years, because she made me feel safe. I tried to do the same with Dr. Lipscomb and he listed "alcohol abuse" in my chart. I moved to the area 4 years ago. As many people who relocate we needed to find new doctors as our previous doctors were in Philadelphia. It wasn't as simple as I would have thought. We went through another group that concentrates on seniors. The doctor was fine but the office was terrible. Trying to get referrals was like commuting on Amtrak. Necessary but not a pleasant task. The orthopedic doctors were terrible. After seeing my blood pressure raise, we decided to look at a different group of doctors and could not be happier. It begins with the front desk and as busy as they are, they never keep you on hold for anything more than a minute or two. If they tell you they will call you back. Always a great experience. So lucky to have to have Mike Hanger as my medical provider. Very professional and knowledgeable, not in a hurry to get you out the door. The staff is also polite and friendly.

I am a new patient, and both visits have been great! Dr. Lipscomb is very thorough and very knowledgeable. Wish I had started seeing him soon!
