The staff are fantastic here! Dr. Stanford is always upfront and honest, even if it means he loses $$. He truly puts the patient first and that's important to me. He is knowledgeable and takes the time to explain options, give suggestions and discuss expected results. I moved out of state for two years and when I came back I thought I'd get a dentist closer to my new home. That turned into a big no after seeing a dentist that supposedly is "the best"; thanks, but I'll drive 45 minutes because Total Smiles is worth it! Been a patient for years and I plan on remaining one.

I can't say enough good things about Total Smiles/Chelsea Dexter Dental Group! Dr. Stanford is WONDERFUL with my entire family, and especially my 5 year old. He made 4 fillings for a toddler fun & non-traumatic. Need I say more? Dawn at the front desk is always so friendly & helpful, scheduling is easy and I love the fact that our insurance is billed in the office and we can pay the day of our visit. Highly recommend!

I made my first appointment with this office. When I showed up, apparently my appointment was not put into the computer, but they saw in the notes that it was their mistake. The receptionist was new to the office and said they would try to squeeze me in. Whoever I saw, was very rude and upset to have to squeeze me in. She took some x-rays and said my teeth were too bad for a regular cleaning and I'd have to reschedule. I've never had any problems with my teeth and have always been given good reviews on my upkeep so I was a bit skeptical. I came back in for some special deep cleaning and still wasn't impressed. I will not be back.

After being clear I expected and desired cost upfront, the staff x rayed me told me what I already knew and charged me ALOT. No explanation of the fees I was incurring by talking to the dentist, if I was aware I would have got out of the chair. My old dentist would not have charged me the price of a minor filling to share his opinion on what steps to do next(10 mins of talking about aspirin and options of extraction or root canal). Would not reccomend.

Had a great experience at this office. Staff was polite and very professional. Office has been under new management for the past year and the improvements are obvious. I would recommend them to any of my friends.
