Staff at this office are professional and very polite. I’m somewhat disappointed in the approach to fillings. It is 2025 and the standard practice is to numb the area before drilling to prepare the tooth for a filling. The drilling and filling of the tooth took about 10-15 minutes max. Yet it is nearly 4 hours since the procedure and still feeling the effects of the anesthesia. I was told it was a “fast acting” solution while at the office but not the case in reality. Should be a more advanced means for this minor procedure.

Dr Hoop and staff have been excellent. I’m a new patient of 7 months, and had lots of teeth sensitivity but no other pain. Two of my old fillings had begun to crack and being proactive, I decided to go forward with 2 crowns. That became 2 root canals, went fine. Temporary crowns went fine. But with the permanent crowns, I couldn’t bite down to eat/chew on them without pain. Dr Hoop convinced me to try a TMJ guard, indicating a high probability I was grinding my teeth, due to stress, building a house, moving, etc. I was very skeptical, unhappy with the expense, and frustrated overall. Three weeks into wearing the guard, I’m out of pain, able to eat everything, no teeth sensitivity, and thrilled. It’s the most comfortable bite guard I’ve ever had, well worth it.
