Tobin Bone and Joint Surgery: Joseph Tobin, MD, FAAOS

I wanted to take the time to say how thankful I am to Dr. Tobin and his staff. Im a veteran and I was referred thru the VA Community Care Program. Essentially, civilian doctors agree to provide care to vets outside of the VA system. I had shoulder surgery, the VA literally paid 10% of the cost of that surgery. Despite such little reimbursement, Dr. Tobin and his staff continue to support the veteran community with expert care and personable service. The commitment they show to helping veterans is immeasurable.

Dr. Tobin and his staff are amazing. They are the most friendliest and down to earth people. Dr. Tobin listens to your concerns and makes the right decision on your care. I would definitely recommend Dr. Tobin and his staff.

Nurse Bobbi and staff took great care in following through to get me seen. As a VA patient in community care, the VA dropped the ball, and Bobbi went above and beyond to make sure I was seen and treated. Dr. Tobin, while, quick, is thorough and taking the next steps toward solving my medical issue.

I was very impressed with everyone that I dealt with at Dr. Tobin’s office. I was given a thorough examination including x-rays and given advice as to my next step. As a visitor from Canada I can use their advice when I return home.

Very disappointed. 3 weeks ago I first went to Dr. Tobin and had to drive an hour up to Hilton Head because his schedule in Pooler is so limited. Diagnosis was ankle fracture and his orders was stay in bed till next visit. Today, I called to confirm my 2:20 pm appt in Pooler office that was written on appointment card by his staff in Hilton Head. I had expected a call from their office as is typical, to confirm, but called myself as a courtesy to confirm since I had heard nothing. Well, turns out his staff never logged my appointment so I am not on the schedule for today. I guess they should have written an appointment reminder card for themselves. Now my only alternative is wait until MARCH 3rd for a Pooler appoint and continue to stay in this boot and in bed or they can '"squeeze"
