TLC Pediatrics Dentist

PLEASE do your research before letting this practice convince you that your child has substantial cavities without proof. I fell for the mom shaming, which led me to believe it was my fault, with my oldest child and when the same scenario was playing out with my youngest I decided to get a second opinion. Cavities that were so large they needed *silver caps* turned out to be NOTHING on an X-ray at a different practice. An X-ray that TLC refused to do. They will try to convince you silver caps are necessary. They will try to convince you that you are doing something wrong and not brushing your child’s teeth properly. Get the second opinion, please - do not fall for it like I did.

Dr.Miner and her team are absolutely amazing! I have 3 kids that go to this office and they make the kids feel super comfortable. Dr. Miner has a lovely voice as she sings softly to the kiddos to help soothe them sometimes while getting work done. My 6yo daughter got 2 fillings and fell asleep in the chair!! THATS how gentle they are. The hygienists are very sweet and funny. No scary Dr. vibes for the kids which I love. The best part is they genuinely care about what’s best for the child, not just how to get paid, which I’ve dealt with from previous dentists.

The office manager is horrible. Extremely unprofessional as well as providing inaccurate information. After bringing my son there for multiple visits for the same issue it ultimately led to an emergency root canal which could not be preformed at their office. My son was not given an antibiotic therefore delaying his emergency procedure. The lack of explanation as to why the issue was not properly treated was mediocre at best. Ironically after one missed appointment (in the midst of multiple visits with the referred dentist) since 2022 they want to drop my son as a patient. Dr. Miner has always been great with my child but I am a single parent and they had me sit in the waiting room while my daughter went back by herself due to “Covid guidelines”. They said it can only be one parent and one child but what about all the single parent who don’t have support or childcare for their other children. Other dentist location didn’t give me this issue my daughter has been coming here for a while and I just think it’s not right I barely trust people now I have to allow my child to go to a room with someone alone like not cool I like to see what’s going on and help her if she gets anxiety but no I was forced to sit out in the waiting room not happy at all changes need to be made not all households have two parent household or not everyone has a great support system think

Went there for my grandaughters 1st appointment and was very pleased. The dental hygienist was very nice and gave me some good tips on how to get my 13 month old teeth clean. Dentist was also nice overall a very nice visit. Would recommend.
