T.J. Samson Community Hospital: Emergency Room

Doesn't deserve recognition at all other than how badly they do their jobs. If i could leave no stars i would. When you take a dementia patient in intense back pain who has had back surgeries and does have other issues. They took him into triage did a flu and covid swab and sent him out to the lobby. With no one even checking on him but when he needed to go to the bathroom 2 hours later and he gets up to hobble to the bathroom and they want to make snide remarks while the entire time they hadn't asked him any kind of history nor did anything for him. His emergency was when I got there not 4 hours later where all the people who were there before us still sat. Idk how long those people had to sit there but I know if you value a person dont take them there to get care. We left. The way they w

Went in with intense back and neck pain, vomiting bile and stomach acid, no appetite, chest tightness, numbness in my arms and legs. Told them in triage, if this is going to take a while let me know know so my son can take me somewhere else. He said it's okay, they are cleaning 2 rooms right now. I still waited 3 hours. Left with a Zofran. Vomited 7 times right before being discharged. I know it was just a spell from whatever is causing me so much pain but literally, if you are really sick, and need medical help, my advice would be to go east, Any New England state. I've been to 5 facilities in Kentucky, and everything continues to get worse and more symptoms arising every week. Sorry but I had to give a star. Not worth it tho.

Updated... All in all I guess it was decent today. Raised the star from 2 to 4. They had a lot of emergencies that pushed the not so emergencies behind. Life was lost, and major accidents and health problems. We sometimes take for granted how precious life is. Brought the wife over to have them looked at from a bump on the head where she fell. This place is so slow. Been waiting for over 3 hrs just in the waiting room and there have been many more come in since.

Pathetic service and waiting time is for ever. I wish they have other competitive hospitals to them to improve. Seems thy are not bothered. I will not recommend any being there for a serious illness…:: pathetic I can’t express my frustration and anger.

My 4 year son had blood coming out of his ears and we waited 2 hours before just leaving. Sure the blood wasn't pouring out but he is 4 and to me that isn't good. Yes one man did come in with a possible heart attack and yes let him go ahead but one guy came in after us complaining of chest pains but still went outside to smoke and he went back before us. I usually have good things to say about tj but not this time.
