Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital

Extremely long wait before being called back. I was there for diagnostic testing and ultra sound as a follow up to my abnormal mammogram done in December in Murrells Inlet. The staff that checked me in was exceptional and so pleasant to speak with. The staff doing my testings were both professional and understanding since I was extremely nervous.

Zero compassion. My mom was hospitalized for 5 days and multiple times it took them over an hour to help her get to the bathroom. The nurse said it’s a common issue. The people answering the call button do not tell the nurse the patient needs help. The nurse who gave her a shot just talked to her normally and gave the shot with no warning that she was even getting a shot. These are only two examples of the lack of care. The patient advocate did not call me back. I did get a call back from the nurse manager but I don’t expect that to change anything. Do not trust this place with your loved ones.

I feel fortunate to have found the Georgetown Hospital Heart Center for a pacemaker. For me, they were amazing in every aspect…5 stsrs across the board.

Sleep study. It was good except they didn’t have me on the schedule as their mistake. I was told to be there at 8pm and I was, but wasn’t hooked up and ready to goto bed until after 11. Then waken up at 5:30am. I also left with bug bites on my legs? Kind of odd. The room was ok, but definitely needed something to help with the “sleeping atmosphere “. I’m a tall big girl and that bed felt like a toddlers bed, making it hard to even sleep or get a good study. Overall, the people were exceptional and every person from security, registration, to the sleep lab were amazing!

I have never been to a hospital where the doctor himself was so unprofessional..took my daughter there cause the pain medicine that she was given from another doctor was not working... keep in mind it was not a narcotic it was something like Advil....I just wanted something that would work fory baby until she got her tooth taken out....the doctor that I saw tonight gonna tell me you just need to come up with the money...I looked at him like dang I'm trying....remind you I lost my husband in 2023...I'm taking care of 4 kids by myself....I looked at him like I'm pretty sure it was easy for you to say something like that to someone else cause your a doctor.... moral of the story, you never know when people are going threw some things it's not ok to bash another parent for trying to make sure
