The Timbers Skilled Nursing & Therapy

The level of care is very good. They have a memory care area, they handle rehab and release cases. For full time residents there are activities, a good area to make lasting friendships. The staff is mostly fun people. If you have issues management is approachable.

If I could give this facility a 0 star rating I would. The social worker is rude as ever and no help at all. My mom’s case manager did absolutely nothing. The older Black lady with glasses at the front desk has a very smart mouth and she is rude as all get out. The aides neglect the residents. There is absolutely no communication at all between the staff. The day of my mother’s discharge nobody was aware that she was being discharged even though I had spoken to multiple staff members prior to her discharge. They could not locate her discharge paperwork when I got there. My mother’s luggage bag was stolen, and when I arrived she was the only resident in bed while all the other residents were in the sitting area watching television. If you care about your family member you will not put them in this facility. My mother was there for about a month and she had one shower. I know this to be a fact because I would get there early in the morning and I wouldn't leave until 8 o'clock at night and there's nobody given showers that late she got one I believe on the 2nd day she was there and never had another 1 after that. A really sweet lady that worked as an aid there told me that they were not getting showered for weeks and she had offered to come in on her day off and get some of the patient showered and she was told no that they would not pay her to come in and do that. This is the kind of place that if your family member told you about this and you went to nursing or to the administrator they'd say oh well they're confused

One of my family members was admitted to the Timbers for skilled nursing after spending a week in the hospital. I’m unsure what happened there since I wasn’t involved in his care, but I’ve been told that one of the nurses in that wing was thorough with vitals and such while another one acted a bit shady. My family member was readmitted to the hospital a week after he was admitted to the Timbers. After that stint, he had to be moved to a different facility to continue skilled nursing and therapy in a more engaging environment. Based on my family’s experience there, I don’t recommend this place.

The people we interacted with while my father was there for 3 weeks were all very friendly and nice. However, he was not bathed regularly unless a family member requested it, his sheets were only changed when a family member showed and asked and did so themselves. He was not responded to during the night at all. The call system is severely antiquated. It's a pull cord and is extremely difficult for patients to use. His room was not cleaned regularly and trash not taken out. He was supposed to get better and stronger while there. He got weaker and sicker. When he was transported for a Dr visit he almost passed out twice when he arrived because of severe dehydration. If he had been cared for properly, this would not have happened. 2/10 would not recommend.
