The Subacute at Autumn Lake Healthcare

I went to view this Nursing home rehab center for my mother who might be needing this type of step-down rehab. I was VERY impressed by the services offered, the quality of the professional healthcare workers and the cleanliness of the facility. I was met by a wonderful warm, caring and knowledgeable woman named Michelle. She was patient with all my questions and walked me through the process and the basics and showed me all the facility. She is an asset to your facility - she pointed out different aspects and the benefits of this type of rehab after acute rehab. I will definitely be reaching out to her with any additional questions.

This place should be shut down! Please look at better rehab facilities for your loved ones. There were some issues during my stay. 97% of the staff do not wear name badges and do not always introduce themselves. Most of them should not be working in that facility or any other for that matter. The white boards in my room did not always say the name of the staff taking care of you. It could be the wrong names for 2-3 days. 11/8 Never got my dinner tray from the aide. Had to DoorDash my dinner which I wasn’t planning to do. 11/7 female housekeeper took dirty linen in my room bagged it and put the bag on the floor in my room where I needed to walk with a walker. I almost tripped over the bag. She never came back for it so I had to put it in the hallway. 11/7 a female patient and a confuse

This is the first time that anyone in our family needed subacute rehabilitation, so we were uncertain as to what to expect; however, this facility is outstanding in the care and supervision that the very skilled and attentive staff provides on a daily basis. The facility itself is beautiful, clean, safe and well maintained both inside and out. The nursing staff and all ancillary support personnel are fantastic, as are the Virtua physicians who are on the premises. My wife is only 66-years-old, but unfortunately she suffers from a complex neurological disorder that has significantly affected her mobility and daily living habits in a negative way, leaving her very weak and essentially paralyzed from the waist down, with many of her progressive symptoms mimicking those seen in a stroke pat

They offer Single Rooms and it is decorated very nicely.The staffing is no different than other Rehabs. Some care and others don't. My one comment is that a No Cell Phones is not enforced with their employees. It is very frustrating when you need help and they are on personal calls and tell you they will be there shortly. They also where ear pieces in their ears for calls.The sanitation is also not kept up well in rooms.

We cannot thank Michelle enough for the incredible care she provided my grandmother during her rehab. She truly brings a five-star, resort-level mindset to senior care. Even from the personalized welcome on her first day these experiences exceeded all our expectations, every detail was handled with precision and warmth. She was truly what brought our family peace leaving Grandma there.
