Customer Reviews
My son had been with Kim since he was 5 for group speech therapy. She had provided supportive and dedicated service that had helped my son become a confident kid with many tools to help him navigate through his speech challenges. Her passion and expertise provided compassion and attention from the beginning at a tender age of 5 to age 11, when he was facing a complicated middle school life. We are grateful to have had worked with a great pathologist like Kim that is so knowledgable.
Highly, highly recommend Kim! My three year old son worked with Kim to improve his speech sounds. He’s a chatty kiddo but pronounces several letter sounds wrong so his peers/other adults have a hard time understanding him. We started speech somewhere else and had a disappointing experience. We are so glad we found Kim! Her speech room is full of toys, games, etc and she engaged so kindly and fully with him. My son’s speech has improved along with his confidence. He LOVES going to speech- even more than the zoo!
Kim is easily one of the top SLPs we have worked with and any client of hers is very lucky. Kim worked with my son in San Francisco when he was around three years old. At that time, he had limited words, plus severe attention deficit issues, in addition to speech delays, among others. Kim was methodical, professional, nice but firm (this is critical, as my son would test the limits with every therapist), and slowly my son started to speak. I remember specifically he learned prepositions from Kim, which was very challenging for him. My son would be constantly distracted by the toys in Kim's office, and Kim was patient enough to literally be on the floor chasing my son around. I was grateful to see that kind of work ethic in special needs service providers, as it is unfortunately not
"I really prayed to speak but nothing happened. I stopped waiting. Nothing would help me find my voice. When I asked Kim to teach me to speak, mom said it was ok if I work with Kim every day. Mom lets rare, wonderful, really great Kim teach me and now I can make sounds and words like 'fairy' and 'rabbit'." - Patrick, age 21 (stopped speaking at 5½ and has been working with Kim four times per week since 2021)
