Hands down the best massage therapist I have ever worked with. As a person with chronic illness and pain I have spent thousands of dollars and hundreds of hours on all types of massage therapy. When I found Janae by chance I was desperate for relief. She is the only therapist that has been able to fully hear my needs and address them specifically and aggressively from the start. I have significantly decreased pain, and have regained mobility and range of motion I thought I had lost forever. And I have learned so much from her in the process. I moved out of town and still drive 4 hours to see her when I can! Janae will literally rock your world. She is an expert at what she does and is also a kind and thoughtful person. What are you waiting for? Book her now. I guarantee you will not re

Don't be fooled! The small framed Powerhouse has the ability to change your life! I have lived in excruciating pain for the last 3 or 4 years. And continual pain due to arthritis and other factors. I recently have had spine surgery, neck surgery, and now waiting for knee replacement. I fell a few weeks ago causing a compressed fracture in my vertebrae. Needless to say limping around and being idle can create all kinds of other issues , like atrophy and loss of balance. I booked a appointment with Janae online after reading her website, thoroughly, about doing fascia release therapy as well as massage therapy. For the first time in 12 months after the first visit, I was able to stand up straight again without assistance or collapsing, the very next day. I'm far from being healed, but I

I found Janae by chance and I’m so thankful I did. I had been struggling with significant pain in my shoulder and was hoping to gain scapular mobility to alleviate that pain. I enjoy lifting weights and had been unable to do any shoulder exercises at all due to the pain. It greatly limited the types of lifts I could do at the gym. I was going backward. I’d been working with a physical therapist and shoulder surgeon for over six months, going once or twice a week to therapy and following the exercises at home religiously. Unfortunately, I felt little to no relief. I decided to try to find someone that can do focused body work in the hopes of avoiding surgical intervention and a life of cortisone shots. Janae’s focused, strong, thorough and methodical process is exactly what I needed. While

Janae is an exceptionally gifted bodyworker and I feel lucky to have met her. In my experience, most massages will make me feel better while i'm getting them, but an hour later, the pain that brought me in is back. With Janae, the actual act of getting the massage can at times be slightly painful, in the most delightful way, of course. In fact, I've come to love it. She is doing the very hard work of undoing all the damage your body is carrying around, and releasing that tension can be tough medicine to swallow. But sometimes, pain is the price of progress. Hours or even days later, I feel noticeably different. More upright. Not leaning over to one side. Not in so much pain. In my experience, only Janae has been able to create this change in me, and most other massages feel like a waste of

I had an absolutely incredible deep tissue massage at The Slow Remedy! Janae was incredibly strong and worked with such skill and precision, providing one of the deepest, most effective massages I’ve ever had. It was clear that they put in a lot of effort to release tension and target problem areas, and I could feel a huge difference right away. If you’re looking for a place that truly understands deep tissue work and delivers real results, I highly recommend The Slow Remedy. Amazing experience, thank you!
