The Rehabilitation Center of Independence

The 5 months I have been a resident here has shown amazing progress, not only in my health, but the facility has made so many improvements. The administration changes work well with the good staff they already had in place and they have great care in taking consideration to the many different necessities it takes to make people feel more comfortable to heal in a good environment. I appreciate all the staff and administration in all they continue to do for me here.

If you truly love one of your loved ones DO NOT let them go here and do not let them sign any papers. When i was visiting my Grandpa, across the hall there was an elderly woman screaming for help, It took 10 minutes for someone to go check on her. My grandma(his wife) was up there everyday to make sure he was taken care of, and got manipulated time after time. The rooms are disgusting, it smells like urine, and they clean maybe once every 3 months. My Grandpa caught pneumonia, and they just let him lay in bed, he's 87 years old and that made us almost loose him. Yes, there's some people that work there that are really kind and really truly care about the patients there and the people there, for instance Angel she took time to get to know him and truly took care of him, she also answered ev

My Mother is new so we're still working some kinks. But everyone has been extremely helpful, and kind. We chose this home out of the others bc of the kind atmosphere. The daytime receptionist is very helpful. If she can't fix something she'll get the right person to help you. Audrey is amazing, very busy, during our tour she pointed everything out, introducing us to the staff. This is only our 2nd day, but so far I'm quite pleased with our decision to come to The Rehabilitation Center Of Independence.

Hesitate to even give this place one star that you have to in order to place your review. I would highly recommend you taking the time to really check places out go visit read all the reviews. Our mother was placed at this facility from another facility on an emergency placement by hospice. They stated this place comes highly recommended and it would be a good fit for our mother for Memory care. I don’t know how anybody in the right mind that they had actually been in the facility visited and spent any time would recommend it. We have problems from the get-go. The facility is dirty and very outdated.
