The Museum at Dinosaur Junction

What a fun experience! Perfect for kids—and honestly, adults too. The museum is small, but that actually highlights just how massive the dinosaurs of Colorado truly were. In larger museums, dinosaurs often fit neatly into rooms and feel grand, but here I finally got a full sense of their true scale. We had the pleasure of talking with Billy, and it’s immediately clear how passionate he is about dinosaurs. He loves educating visitors and has an incredible amount of knowledge to share. This was the perfect stop along our road trip. My 5 and 3 year old loved it. Billy who worked there was great with the kids and had lots of awesome information. Definitely worth the stop!

This place is amazing for how small it is. The staff is very, very informative and answered almost all of my questions. They were also really easy to get along with. I recommend everyone visit this museum when you go to Edwards, Co.

No need to go to the Smithsonian in DC after visiting this place! High level exhibits of dinosaurs that are found here near Edwards! A must for every kid and adult.

A small museum packed with beautiful displays! Very kid friendly with an excavation pit and wash station, and they're open through the winter. Obviously a work of love, most of the main displays are fossils (or replicas) found in paleo digs nearby. This museum is only going to get better as they can excavate and display more of what they've found!
