To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to formally file a complaint regarding my visit to the emergency room at Johns Hopkins Hospital today, February 25, 2026, at approximately 10:45 AM. During my visit, I informed a nurse that my IV was causing me significant pain. Instead of assessing the IV site or addressing my concern in a professional manner, I was told that it was “supposed to hurt.” When I continued to express discomfort, the nurse responded with inappropriate language and used curse words toward me in a disrespectful and unprofessional manner. As a patient seeking medical care, I expect to be treated with dignity, respect, and compassion. Being dismissed and spoken to in that way while already in pain was upsetting and unacceptable. I believe this situation warrants review to en

Glad to live within distance to this hospital. As a mother with a child with a rare genetic disorder I have had a lot of experience with Hopkins. More emergency room visits than admission thankfully. I’ve also had some run ins with my healthy children. And seen both as well. I will say if you are here reading reviews about the hospital it’s not the best place to decide if you want to visit. What I’ve learned in advocating for my children is that you have to be an active participant in what is happening to you or family in any hospital. I’ve had some great experiences and also some very strange ones. The one thing I can rely on is the ability to take an active role in emergency care. This is my favorite part about Hopkins. Having access to highly intelligent qualified people who are willing

This hospital is only about money. They do everything they can to charge you more money. They set me up on home infusions for antibiotics for infection in my amputated leg and sent me the antibiotics and sent me a new batch every Thursday. after a few weeks when they changed bandages they said I was ready for a skin graft. So they had me come in on a Tuesday for the graft and since antibiotics that they sent me has an Expiration date and I only had enough to last me until Thursday, which is a day. I brought the antibiotics with me because they’re very expensive and I had to pay for them out-of-pocket. I showed up for my surgery and a half hour before I went into surgery. I did one of my infusions because it was due at 3 o’clock after I got out of the surgery a few hours later I use

My brother was placed in Hopkins for treatment of advanced cancer care. I have never encountered more kind and concerned doctors and nurses in my life. These doctors and nurses are amongst the best and give my brother the same time and expertise one might expect a celebrity to receive. The doctors confer amongst each other to produce the best outcome for him using their vast knowledge. Naturally I am sorry that cancer is a part of my brother's life but am happy he chose Johns Hopkins. My Johns Hopkins sweatshirt is no longer just a cool shirt I wear, but a tangible reminder to me of the many people playing a part in my brother's life.

I'd rather drive an hour and half to this hospital. Absolutely hands down the best of the best. Their doctors nurses faculty, from all of them you name it. Super polite and show a lot of sympathy for you. I don't care how long they take because their care is quality not quantity
