I am writing to share some concerns regarding standard hospital protocols, specifically concerning patient intake and treatment options. While hospitals typically inquire about allergies to medications and anesthesia, I believe it is equally important for them to screen for sensitivities to natural oils. This is particularly relevant when treating conditions like inflammation or arthritis, where natural alternatives might be used. Furthermore, I would like to advocate for a greater emphasis on holistic approaches. I believe that natural and holistic options should be discussed with patients before proceeding with pharmaceutical interventions or surgery. Ultimately, we must remember that we are in charge of our own bodies. I encourage everyone to ask about holistic alternatives before co

Excellent hospital, much, much better than most. Nice nurses, good dialysis team. Care coordinator Tammy went the extra mile to find me a long term nursing facility. I have nothing to say but good things to say about New Britain General Hospital!!!

I am a 23-year-old man. More than three years ago, I was sent to THOCC and later committed to the behavioral health ward. While at this hospital, staff physically and sexually assaulted me, and treated myself and my fellow patients like animals. I experienced long-term negative mental health effects from this ordeal, including increased depression, intrusive thoughts, and the belief that my masculinity was no longer intact. A compounding matter to this was the fact that when I tried to report my sexual abuse, a nurse violently lashed out at me (I was about to be released), threatening to hold me indefinitely and asserting that I was "making things up." It was clear that she and the others were just concerned about keeping their jobs. I received a very horrific birdeye view of the mental he

You know come to my attention and when you go into the ER, I believe the doctor supposed to listen to what you’re going through not what they feel like you’re going through because they have your medical chart because you’ve been there five or three times they don’t live in your body they don’t walk in your body, but today was the worst experience I’ve ever had. You don’t determine for patients patients tell you what they feel and you go exactly by what they feel stop being a determine cause you’re not a determine into you fully get the completion right of completing your work as patient require. I sit here and go into the ER and they determined for me if you could only go by what the people say first then we move forward but if you’re gonna sit there because you look at a medical chart a

They made me (and his mom) sit out in the waiting room for hours while the love of my life was dying inside. They gave up on saving him from the moment he arrived, so I will never understand why we weren’t allowed to be with him until he was on his last heartbeat when they were NOT intervening other than to ask for his advanced directives to be changed from full code. The nurse was very kind after he passed, but the doctor was dismissive and rude, and didn’t seem to understand that there was a real person who was extremely loved laying in that bed. When I asked why no interventions were initiated, she stated "We don't have interventional pulmonology here. And I am pretty sure he was dying before he got here."
