The Hamlet Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center at Nesconset

Our mom was transfer to the Hamlet. We were welcome the second she was there. We were treated like we were family. They took care of her as though she was their own family member with love & kindness. Everyone is very professional and works hard to do the right thing the first time around. Very knowledgeable in their field of expertise. Sue in Admissions made the transition painless. In Rehab Alan & Aracht worked miracles. Denise, director of financing made a very painful & difficult situation more at ease. Ozobia, director of social work was on top of our mom’s case the very first moment. She did what she could do meet mom’s needs we got there until we had to leave. Made us feel this was her mom. The medical staff from the Doctors to the CNA were always professional. They

My Mom has been at the Hamlet for over 2 years and I just wanted to say how great the Recreation Dept is. Tom is awesome!!! He truly loves all the residents and is always upbeat and happy! My mom loves watching karaoke, playing the Price is Right, and enjoyed going to paint night in December. She also loves when there is music at the facility, especially The Sitting Ducks and Dave Patrick. I just wanted to give a little review on how much my family appreciates the recreation team. I would like to share my experience at The Hamlet Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, specifically on Unit 100 Odd. (For my Mom) From the moment we arrived, the care and attention shown by the staff made a difficult time much easier for our family. The team on Unit 100 Odd truly works together and it shows. (day shift) A special thank you to Sharell Sills, who was compassionate, attentive, and always willing to answer questions with patience and kindness. SHE ALWAYS WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND. CNA Annette provided hands-on care with warmth and professionalism. Her kindness did not go unnoticed. RN Supervisor C. Hamdy demonstrated strong leadership and clinical knowledge. My mother recently fell and had to do rehab. The Hamlet was recommended to us and I can see why. The facility is very clean, well maintained and they have social service for their patients to interact. But the key is in their staff who are courteous and professional. My mom was in unit 400 and I couldn’t have asked for such a great set of individuals to look over and take care of my mom while I was not there. From nursing, social workers, customer service, and physical therapists who were so patient and got my mom up and better. Special thanks to Ozobia, Samantha, Flora, Pam (nurse who mom adored and took care of her every day, and PT therapists Ryan and Lauren (I believe was her name). I am a patient at The Hamlet, the service here is superb and I feel like I am in a hotel. The staff is supportive and they all work together beautifully. They are empathetic, caring, helpful. Marie Joseph the CNA is always there for me. Ryan and Aneesa my therapists have brought my abilities to the maximum, they have even brought me to the point where I have exceeded all the expectations. Recreation threw a Dolly Parton 80th birthday celebration. The food was southern and prepared by staff, amazing decorations also were done by the staff. It was fun and the patients were asked trivia questions about Dolly Parton and everyone enjoyed it thoroughly. 5 stars to The Hamlet!! All of the individuals that tend to my personal needs are caring, warm and thorough.
