The Gardens at Gettysburg

So far The Gardens at Gettysburg has been a wonderful experience for my dad, for context he is in the middle stages of dementia and came to the Gardens for rehab. Recently , he had an emergency where he had to be rushed to the hospital and the nursing staff called me immediately! They were on top of everything! Upon his discharge from the hospital, I gave the director of nursing a big hug for her quick action and help with my father. It really meant a lot. Throughout everything staff has been friendly, communicative and transparent with everything regarding my father’s care. They treat him with respect and that’s what every human being needs.

The people at The Gardens are so dedicated to their patients. I think the food is very good & everyone is so nice. The staff make me feel so comfortable & secure. Someone is always willing to help. Terry Coshun

We chose The Gardens based on reviews, and we’re really glad we did. My dad felt supported, respected, and well cared for during his time there, and that meant a lot to our family. While the facility may not be the most technologically advanced, they more than make up for it with attention to detail and actual care for the health and comfort of their patients. The staff took the time to know him as a person, not just a chart, and that made a big difference in his recovery. The location was also a huge plus. Very close to the hospital and doctors’ offices, which made everything easier logistically. One thing that stood out in particular was the care they gave his feet. It might sound small, but it mattered a lot to him, and he was genuinely happy with how thoughtfully that was handled. O

I truly love this place and staff at the Garden’s of Gettysburg. A close friend of mine was moved to this location from another facility. Whenever I visit, and that is often, he is clean and his room is neat and tidy. He is happier due to the respect the staff gives to him and how attentive they are to his needs and feelings. The staff also works to coordinate the residents’ care in a professional manner. Once a surgery needed to be rescheduled and the staff quickly found a new surgeon, scheduled an appointment for a consult, and got the surgery rescheduled. The staff all have been attentive and nice. Caring for those living there with the respect and dignity they deserve and working with the families and residents for a better quality of life.

I would like to thank Morgan, Tammy, nurses and staff for helping me through a stressful time. They worked hard for me to get my sister transferred there. Now she is just a walk away. Thank you to my niece who works there. Now she sees family everyday. CNA's are the heart and soul of nursing. Everyone greets you with kindness and respect. Thank you again.
