The Gables of Marysville

My mother has been here 3x for rehab after various hospital stays. I was here in July of 2024 after a 2½ month ICU hospitalization. 3 times the care was superb and the food was fantastic. It was more like a resort then a rehab facility. I don't know what happened between Nov 2024 when my mother was there for her 2nd time and Oct 2025 her 3rd time but it was evident there was a major transition from a patient care driven model to a profit driven model. When I was a patient my call light was answered within 3 mins of me activating it. The STNAs were regularly changing my water and checking on me to see if I needed anything. I had both Physical and Occupational therapy everyday. My mother recieved the same treatment her 1st 2 stays. But on her 3rd stay.......her call light would be on for 20

I cant say enough about this place! Just to mention a few names, Dusti, Jenna, Tabbi, these are only a few that has helped me through this very long process for my father! Everyone is friendly and helpful! They make you feel like your at home! Thank you, Gables!

Daniella Moms nurse and Dusti in admissions here are completely AWESOME! Nothing but true professionalism in taking care of our Mom and follow-up and following through on everything!!! Much different than other experiences for sure....so GRATEFUL for them!

I have a friend in the Gables. She seems to have a love/hate relationship with the food. I have never encountered a bad looking meal when visiting. I have had the opportunity to witness gentle, kind,loving care. Very clean facility. I have never noticed odors. Which is a huge accomplishment for a nursing facility.

The place is beautiful.my mom really liked it. And was there the end of 2018. At times when we had questions or needed help, we couldn't find a nurse. Mom was sent here after being in hospital and she was doing great,just on oxygen. Laughing and mobile.we would bring her Wendy's food..she would call me...Then all the sudden I get a call she's not doing well.she was laying in the bed so doped up on morphine she couldn't come to and wake up. When she started to they put more morphine into her mouth. Why didn't they let her wake up? I just don't understand why they kept giving her morphine so much that she was kept unconscious. We believe she was given way too much and it stopped her heart. Who gave the ok to keep giving her the morphine? We never got the answer..
