The Cedars at Broadwell

When visiting a relative I found the facility generally dirty. The doors to the rehab wing had a gap between them. Dirt, leaves and rodents could easily enter. The parking lot to the west is a mess. Walking on it is treacherous. As for the actual patient care, they were NOT giving him his meds as prescribed! He pointed out but was basically ignored for several days. The Sunday morning after the time change, he didn’t wake up in time for breakfast. They brought his tray to the room and the food was cold from sitting so long. This place should be closed down.

Apparently the Director of Nursing is allowed to talk to residents in a threatening manner. Get in they're face even. That's the boss. The CNA'S and nurses to a fantastic job. Often times they are short staffed and over worked. The physical therapy group are fabulous

I don't think they pay enough attention to the residents,my sisters room was not that clean, her closet doors were off track.

the health and welfare of these people are not respected. people are sitting waiting for HOURS while employees sit on their phones, ignore the call lights, and take 15+ mins for the shift change. the place smelt so strong of urine. my grandfather was complaining about how he hurt and they did nothing to help him. he begged and begged, as they took their time, ignoring all of those who needed help. it took 6+ hours for them to change his diaper as he was soaking in his own wet filth. if the employees were making the slightest big of effort, such a large impact could be made. hearing the cries of these older men and women asking for nurses or help, just to be ignored. some of these people have serious medical conditions and the employees aren’t trained on how to work with them. it really bre

Do not take your loved one to "The Cedars at Broadwell" Nursing Home in Grand Island, Nebraska !!! It use to be "Wedgewood", then "Azria" & now "The Cedars at Broadwell LLC" It is deplorable !!! First & for most they do not do new hire drug screening & they do not always do random drug screening when that should be of the upmost importance. When you went to the people at the top they did nothing about it. They are hiring these people to care for your loved ones with out any screening standard. One would ask how do they sleep at night not making that a standard. It is gross & disgusting practice. There is mold throughout the building, in the AC units, in the ceiling & in the walls, handrails fixed w/super glue, stained ceiling tiles sprayed w/spray paint to cover up the stains rather then
