Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Denton

My wife had a rusted door shut on her back heel and scrape her skin off this morning. We went to the emergency room for it was bleeding, foot was swelling, and she was in a lot of pain. They made her take off her bandaids then stuck us in this horrible area and told her “We will just put ointment cream on it” didn’t clean it and cover it and put her foot up. Her foot was put by a disgusting dirty chair (pics below). We had to ask for a tetanus shot though they had her records already and we said it isn’t up to date and we wrote down it was an old rusted door and should have been an immediate offer. I’m sitting here writing this 40mins in since being in this room and they haven’t come in once and are yet to clean it up. (Update they are helping the person who came in after us next to us) We

I don’t visit the ER or a physician unless it’s absolutely necessary, but the few times I’ve been to Presbyterian, they have been nothing short of amazing. From security and check-in to triage, everyone has been friendly, efficient, and attentive. I haven’t experienced this level of care anywhere else in Denton. Healthcare is incredibly demanding work, yet every staff member I’ve encountered has done it with compassion and a smile. I’m very grateful for the care I received.

I've just never had a good experience with the ER and most people I know have the same feelings. Other hospitals are way more helpful when your talking to them about things. For instance calling to check on a patient, I get "they're in a room" and so the next question how are they I get "well I'm not in there with them so I can't tell you." SMH, not even a let me buzz you to their nurse they'll have more information. Nope I get a "anything else?" In a I don't want to talk anymore tone. Just give an ounce of compassion and concern. Not disregard and attitude. Just unprofessional in my book. And that's only one instance I've got more

I had to go for a test recently and it was such an awesome experience. I think her name was Nonee. From the moment I met her she was a breath of fresh air. She is definitely an asset to the hospital. It’s been a little crazy lately for my family. 2 of us have had to go to ER and 1 was admitted, all at different times. I have to say all 3 times the staff at this hospital were beyond amazing! I have never been treated so well at any other hospital before, and unfortunately I have been in quite a few. From the guard at the door, ER staff, nurses, sonogram techs, and the doctors! Just absolutely wonderful. Such happy people and kind! The dr heard my daughter was pregnant (she wasn’t even the patient) and he himself went and got her an ice cream and brought it back to my room! Love this place and will always go for any medical needs that they provide! Other hospitals should study this one and learn what great bed side manor is!
