Well the smoking section is right next to the walk way for where a critical injured person is rolled down to the helicopter. I was having a smoke and they rolled out an injured patient down a path where I was 12 feet away with the wind blowing in their direction. Very poor placement..

I had the most traumatic experience ever with son on 6/30/24! And God used Texas Children Hospital to save my boy !!! My son needed a brain operation and was transported to Legacy Tower. And from there we moved to West Tower. My son got there save, on time, and surgery went well. I am for ever thankful for this hospital and for everyone who took care of my son. We stayed at the hospital for a whole month and two weeks and they made sure we felt comfortable in every way. sorry that not everyone received the best experience as I’m reading the reviews! I pray for EVERY child to receive the best medical treatment they deserve! I pray may God use the hands of the whole medical team to heal. My son is now doing OT and has came a long way!!! My child sat there in their own waste for far too long in the ER when multiple requests where provided. I left to the gift shop to purchase clean attire and got my child cleaned when they were all medicated up and could barely do for themselves as a sick teenager in wheelchair. There were only about 5 - 6 families in the ER and a few nurses sitting behind the desk (3 - 4). I was informed we'd recieve some lclean attire as before my chodm even had their vitals taken and absolutely nothing came while my child sat in there own waste at thus healthcare facility. Came back from getting my child cleaned up and they approached with garmets and wipes saying they were looking for me, like really after a good 30+ mintues total ( time including when I was gone & got back) now I'm handed something. S

Came in with my daughter due to a bad uti! She was screaming in pain, they took 3 hrs to get her back and she had over 700 ml of pee in her. Took another hr for them to see my kid when we got back. She was screaming in pain. My daughter had a bump on her and they immediately went to sexual assault on my child vs trying to figure out what happened. The nurse questioned my daughter about things she new nothing about and exposed her to unnecessary things. After consulting with gynecologist they said it was a rash from her high fever due to her also having Flu A!!! Will never come to Texas childrens again after this. Horrible experience and all they could focus on was how horrible we where until another Dr proved other wise.

My son had a 3 night stay for rsv in acute care. We had the same nurse the first two days that we were here. He was in the thick of his symptoms and our nurse, Clari, provided us comfort and went out of her way in every way possible to bond with our baby and comfort him as well. Its not many times you get a nurse that touches your heart this way. Thank you Clari for helping us through the scariest experience. We will never forget you!!
