Started going there last year. I was trying to get a root canal rather than another extraction. They said the tooth couldn't be saved and had an indian student nurse. She was nice, but sometimes she seemed nervous. The AA lady at the front desk upstairs was rude and dismissive towards me, too, and I had to report her to her supervisor. Finally, I was able to get my insurance to pay for the bridge, but waiting on their process; having to go through their routine is too time-consuming. I did have a chipped tooth, which I was able to get fixed as a walk-in emergency. She did a good job, but it chipped again. I'm gonna go to another dentist, and I guess my biggest complaint is now trying to get my dental records. When I went to the school, the girl gave me a form to fill out and said it could
I’ve been coming here for quite some time now, and during my visits I’ve met many wonderful people, which I truly appreciate. However, whoever was answering the phones today (3/6/2026 around 10 a.m.) was extremely unprofessional. The calls were repeatedly picked up and then immediately hung up. The level of unprofessionalism was honestly disappointing. Working on the front line of customer service means representing the school or business with a certain level of professionalism and courtesy. I simply hope that those in these positions understand the importance of providing respectful service. If someone truly doesn’t enjoy working there, it raises the question of why remain in a role that requires interacting with the public. Unfortunately, this is the second time I’ve called to reach a
The most frustrating dentistry I have ever been to. To be clear, the actual physicians there were VERY courteous and helpful. It's the students that gave me problems. I understand that by me writing this, it may affect my future visits, but I do plan on transferring to another dentistry as soon as my plan is done. For context, I'm in my 50's and moved to Philadelphia from NY recently. I hadn't been to a dentist in about 5 years. I call Temple for a consultation and it took about 6 weeks to make the appointment. Pretty long, but understandable. My first visit, I was on time, but still had to wait an hour past my appointment to see my student doctor. My student doctor seemed nervous (understandable) and left me 3-4 times to speak to his supervisor (to which, I did not know the reason for.
I was referred to this place from my regular dentist to do a RCT. Eventually that RCT turned out to be an extraction due to an infection that developed. The first time I came here, it was basically a consult and what I should do next. The student doctor that I had was amazing. She was really helpful in answering questions thoroughly checking my x-rays/mouth to see what the situation was like. She also explained what was wrong so that I can understand and told me about some options I might have after tooth extraction. The 2nd time I came here, it was an oral surgery department so I can have my tooth extracted. The student doctor that I had was amazing as well. He told me what is going to be done today. Explained all the steps he was doing while I was getting my tooth extracted. Made sure I
For this visit, I came in for a tooth extraction due to an infection. It was easy to get to the office, and the wait wasn't very long. I was treated by a student named David, who was very gentle and kind from the start and made me feel very comfortable. I explained my anxiety about these procedures, and he always explained each step of the process. I've had other extractions, but this has been the most comfortable experience I've had so far. Thank you David, you saved my day!
