Taras Optical

Rave review time! I was over due for an eye exam and knew I need a stronger script, and also want contacts. So I call visionworks to make an appointment, they can't see me until September 29, fine, I schedule the appointment, BUT, I always drive by this little place called Taras Optical, and I see a big sign on the door that they take my insurance, so I called them last Thursday, and not only was I seen today, but the woman took her time on the phone to explain what I would be paying for my co pay as well as the contact fitting exam, and today she spent time with me helping me pick out frames and explaining how much of each was covered on my plan! The doctor, Dr Halpin, was amazing, he did my exam, talked with me about contacts and then was incredibly patient with me when teaching me how

Was due for an eye exam and new glasses and decided to try a Tara’s. Great choice. They were extremely helpful in picking out frames. They did the “shopping” for me, which was extremely helpful since some frames are bigger/smaller and fit differently. When I went in to pick up the glasses, they took the time to fit them to my face and make all the adjustments needed. Definitely a better experience than at the previous place I went, which didn’t help with picking out frames and didn’t even make any adjustments or even give me the chance to try them on before they were helping other people. Definitely recommend Tara’s.

Great experience at Tara's Optical in Latham. I went other places where they handed you your glasses with no adjustment and said come back if you think you need an adjustment. Tom from Tara's took the glasses and adjusted and had me read to see if the lenses where properly made. Very much professionalism at Tara's and I would highly recommend them.

My husband Patrick has been dealing with Lens Crafters for years. Well, as of now, we are done with Lens Crafters, nothing but aggravation from Lens Crafters. We made an Appointment at Taras Optical, they saw my husband right away. Everyone at Taras, were so kind and actually cared about my husbands eye issues. The staff provided a great experience for my husband, he loved how they made him feel and he loves his new glasses. We have found our new optical store. Thank you,to everyone at Taras!!

I just recently had the pleasure of using Tara’s optical to obtain an eye exam and a pit of glasses and prescription sunglasses. They have such a great variety of frames and the people that work there are very friendly. I will definitely be going back next year!
