East Hudson Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery

I would recommend the services in this practice to anyone. As a former HR director in a large medical practice, I was more than impressed with the efficiency, the courteousness and professionalism of the office, the doctor was phenomenal and the two girls at the front desk. Alicia and I don’t remember the other girls’s name (please forgive me!) , but they were very pleasant to interface with!

Mixed feelings. Dr. Smail seems like an extremely adept dentist and his staff is top notch. My biggest issue was when I forgot about taking my antibiotics. I did not receive a pre-surgical phone call reminder , text or email. I show up for surgery. I am in the chair and they give me a form to sign. Question 1 is did you take your antibiotic? I respond no because I had signed a paper the week before telling me to take it. Needless to say I had no recollection of that, didn’t take it, they did not follow their procedure to call 2 days before and remind me. I got a nasty infection. There were no concerns for my health or well being. They hid and ran. I requested my records, and interestingly enough, received my entire file except for the one form I signed as part of their pre surgery stating

My experience at East Hudson OMS was excellent. Staff members I interacted with were knowledgeable, professional, courteous and friendly. Dr Smail conversed with me while waiting for my mouth to numb, and the extraction itself was smooth and painless. In fact, I had no pain following the procedure. I highly recommend Dr Smail’s expertise and “chair-side” manner.

I was nervous facing an extraction and bone graft in preparation for an implant. From the moment I entered the office, I was greeted by friendly staff with warm and welcoming smiles… this put me immediately at ease. Dr Smail has an incredible chair side manner. Jokes, stories and light banter abound… I found myself actually laughing. The procedure was over quickly with great care taken for my comfort. His assistants and nurses were incredibly kind and caring. Aftercare and addressing my discomfort, questions and concerns equally outstanding. I highly recommend East Hudson Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery!

I highly recommend this office for oral surgery. They were very clear on what needed to be done and was able to switch my appointment earlier as I was getting nervous about my tooth to wait any longer. The surgery was painless and the post-surgery instructions were clear. I had no pain in the days following and I my ability to eat was close to normal after a week. I will see them again in about 4-5 months and my plan is to get an implant.
