Tara Heeney, DO - The Portland Clinic

I've been seeing Dr. Heeney for about a year now and she's an excellent, kind, and compassionate doctor. I feel like she listens carefully and asks good questions. She is easy to talk to and makes the doctor's office feel like a safe space. I love that I can make appointments online, and I feel like it's always easy to find a convenient time. Plus, when I have needed more urgent care, her staff has been helpful in providing accommodations. Would highly recommend!

I haven’t been able to get an appointment with my doctor, Dr. Heeney, in 3 years. Every year, I’m told I have to schedule my physical with my primary physician because I haven’t seen her in so long. Each year, I explain that I’ve tried to book appointments with my primary, but she is not available until the following year. I ask them what I’m to do, so they schedule me with a physicians assistant. The next year, the same thing happens. The great irony is she’s somehow available to take on new patients according to their website. How can be? How can she be available to take on new patients when she’s unable to accommodate her existing patients? Does Portland Clinic get more money for new patients???
