Syracuse Emergency Center

We are very disappointed with our experience at Syracuse Emergency Center due to hidden and misleading charges. When we brought our son in for three stitches, we specifically asked about the total cost. The person at the front desk told us that if we paid upfront, the charge would be $200. That seemed unusually low for emergency care, so we triple-checked and were clearly assured that this would be the only cost. Our son did receive good medical care, and we appreciate that. However, weeks later we received an additional bill for the doctor’s services. When we called the billing department, we were then informed there was also a separate facility charge. The place was busy and patients came more critical than myself. Had a long wait but understandable. My care was excellent by both the staff. I was still well cared for. Very pleasant kind medical staff. Doctor did a very good job. I am well pleased. Waiting out time to get my stitches out.

We were very hesitant to come here because we had a poor experience with a different ER. We felt like we needed immediate help and didn’t have time to drive to primary children’s. We’re so glad we gave this place a shot! Dr Flammer did amazing job at explaining what was happening and how they were going to help our two year old. The nurses were very kind and attentive. Everyone did a great job at helping us feel comfortable. Will definitely choose to come here again the next time we need emergent care.

Let me start by saying our nurse was absolutely amazing, kind, quick, attentive, and genuinely helpful. She was the only bright spot in this entire visit. Now the doctor? A complete joke. We came in because my husband has had a cough for over a week, and tonight he was coughing so hard he was throwing up and struggling to catch his breath. You know, one of those moments where you say, “Okay, DayQuil and Mucinex have officially clocked out, let’s get this checked.” When most people go to the ER, it’s because they’ve reached the point where they don’t know what to do anymore and are hoping someone with a medical degree will help guide them. I had to bring my 18 month old daughter in due to lethargy, vomiting and diarrhea. They were incredibly nice. The nurses and the doctor were wonderful. I also had to bring my other young daughter in because it is just how things worked out and they were really nice to her too. My youngest daughter is doing much better today and I really appreciated everyone’s help at the emergency center. I hope to not go back but if I need to go to an emergency center I will be going back to that one.
