Sutter Urgent Care

To start, I rarely leave reviews, but this experience truly deserved one. I visited Sutter Health Urgent Care last week for some ongoing issues. The medication prescribed at that visit didn’t help, so I returned yesterday and was seen by Matthew Hayes, PA. This review is specifically about my visit with him, and I wanted to make sure he received the recognition he deserves. I tend to get embarrassed easily, but Mr. Hayes was incredibly kind and patient as I awkwardly explained my symptoms. He truly listened, performed a thorough exam, and was both reassuring and compassionate throughout the visit. Dr Rad was the most wonderful Doctor I have ever met. The whole experience was scary. I was having breathing difficulties. The staff got me right in. Dr Rad was genuinely concerned and very thorough. Thank You

I have been to urgent care several times over the years and this was the worse experience. The NP rushed me through the checkup in less than three minutes. Seemed like she was in a hurry none of the PA and doctors in the past have ever treated me like that and I have been there at least a hundred times. The rest of the staff are nurses were very kind and patient as always.

Went to urgent care Sat morning for a worsening sore throat, strep test neg. then Dr questions iron pills, and ask why I was losing blood. I am NOT, it was for anemia like it stated in my chart, Dr ordered blood test. said to let the sore throat run its course, no meds. spent the next 2 days in bed with a terrible cough. finally feeling a little better with otc stuff, still coughing. How long is this course I have to run? Dr was more worried about the iron than what I went in for! Will not see this Dr again !!!!

They’ve recently changed their check-in practices to a paper-based ‘fill out the form’ model (yes, paper based in 2025). To make matters worse, this is a pre-check-in check-in, meaning that after turning in the form, you must wait to be called to actually check in at the desk, and then wait again to be seen. The process is abysmally slow and inefficient. The last time I visited, I filled out the form within three minutes of my arrival, but wasn’t called to the window to actually check in until almost 45 minutes later. The delay wasn’t due to staff being overwhelmed by people checking in, in fact they weren’t especially busy behind the desk at all.
