Sunharbor Manor

So my mom fell and she ended up At Sun Harbor Manor for rehab. She was there more or less for about a month the attention she received was superb. Michael, the concierge was extremely helpful making sure that received whatever it was you needed. Michael would put you in contact or guide you on what to do. He was a constant help always with a smile on his face. My Mom’s nurse aid julet was so kind, caring not only kept my mom clean her room done gave my mom hugs and made her feel Comfortable in a place away from home. Tenisha was a great help she knew her ins and outs with Medicare Medicaid insurance. The length time everything you needed to know she was full of knowledge thanks to her. The process went smooth. My 96 year old mom just spent over two months at SunHarbor, her third rehab in a year as a result of falls. Of the three we found Sunharbor had a feeling of community and warmth that was lacking at the other two facilities which were more of a clinical environment. It had the friendliest care staff also, including their physical therapy team. Monica was amazing and their concierge Michael is invested in making everyone’s experience the most pleasant as possible. The staff to patient ratio may not be the best but those nurses and aides were constantly busy and attentive. The last rehab had more staff but they often refused to make eye contact with you. By the time mom was discharged she felt she had made connections with quite a few of the staff. It was very personal. Highly recommend.

I found SunHarbor Manor to be very positive experience. The nursing staff and aids demonstrated gentleness, kindness, and concerned to all the patients needs. The PT department was superb and met my son’s walking goal. The front desk personnel was friendly, answering phones and questions as well as maintaining security at the entry door. My mother was a resident at Sunharbor Manor for about 3 years. Most of her time was spent in Room 361. She had the bed by the window where the sun streamed in just how she liked it. She also had access to the heat. Oh my, she loved to be warm. It took a few room changes but she did finally land this room which she was very happy with. Most all the nurses and aides were very kind. Maria, Magda & Kingsley were outstanding. Michael the concierge was always near if you needed anything at all. My Mom celebrated her 100th birthday there on September 26, 1925 but she had been a patient previously a few times because she fell quite alot after she turned 90. The physical therapists were excellent. The recreation dept. with Vanessa, Mia, Rita and Page did an outstanding job keeping her busy. Music,

My mom got great care there. The concierge Michael was wonderful as was the social work staff. Michael was able to arrange for mom to attend my daughter's wedding, which made her very happy!!The aides and nursing staff were attentive. Mom had clean clothes on every day and she was kept clean. The Physical therapists got my mom mobile in a short period of time. My mom praised all. I have to add that mom was there a few years ago and we were reluctant to send her back due to our past experience being not so good. The food was very good as well. The entire building was always being cleaned and it seems the staff and conditions have improved greatly! I am giving 4 stars as there were 1 or 2 times when mom was wet when we got there noting she said she called to use the bathroom numerous times
