Summit Health Urgent Care (Westmed) - New Rochelle, NY

I went to urgent care for a virus. Made an appointment online and that was easy. The from desk was very polite. I waited 45 minutes for my appointment which wasn't ideal but I expect unfortunately. I saw NP Terrian, she seemed wonderful. Kind and attentive. After I left and she prescribed some meds, I got the alert my meds were ready for pickup and noticed she sent me an antibiotic that I couldn't take so I sent her a message through the portal and asked her to make a change. I then realized the inhaler I thought I had at home was expired a year prior so I sent her a message asking for her to send in a new script and that's when everything fell apart. She messaged me back later that night saying that I sent multiple messages and that she couldn't prescribe me new meds as they would int

SO I took my 86 y/o alzheimers dad there for a horrible cough. Simple no fever no need for ED visit. Tested at home covid neg. They retested flu and covid neg. The pca Keisha super pt. The PA RUKI i thought was sweet. Front clerk check in kind and professional ....BUT xray tech took him to rush him through and literally eject him to waiting room in his T shirt. Without his glasses. I had to dress him in waiting room go back for his glasses and the wait for "official read" I am willing to let it go. Go to pick up his Rx. And clearly they were so busy they send his RX to NJ. Where I clearly told them where to send them. So now I am waiting for them to fill at the pharmacy I TOLD them to send the Rx to. When they were westmed great. Now I understand why the waiting room was empty.

I can’t say enough positive things about this practice. Came in as a walk-in due to an injury to my ankle. Staff was amazing. Nurse was the kindest soul around. Doctor was kind and considerate. X-ray staff, same. Fast but zero rush. Caring and thorough.

I did not like how I was initially treated by the female front desk staffer which is why i'm giving them 4 stars instead of 5. The wait was over 2 hours but they can't control how many people come in. When I finally got inside the nurses and nurse practitioner were nice, knowledgeable and helped me with my symptoms. Highly recommended.

Excellent experience. The staff was very welcoming, and I received prompt care from a highly skilled doctor. Since I don’t speak English very well, they arranged for a translator to make sure I understood everything. I truly appreciate their professionalism and highly recommend this urgent care center
