Our husky Calvin has a very special personality (sweetheart with trust issues) which leads him to try to protect himself from people he doesn’t know. That didn’t stop Dr. Ricky and his team. Calvin was treated with such care and we were even able to watch the entire appointment go down. From front desk to the doctors to the groomers, heck even the cats that roam around the office, are all amazing and hospitable. After being rejected by many vets and groomers, we’re VERY happy Sugar Creek AH took him in and made all of us feel comfortable and reassured. They take every precaution needed and do it all with a smile too. Happy to call them our new go-to vet!

Phenomenal customer care! Within 5 days my 11 year old lab was evaluated thoroughly as a new patient, emergency, same day add-on. Boarded overnight for immediate attention and further testing the next day. Put on antibiotics for two days in preparation for life changing surgery on the fifth day! Dr. Ricky’s enthusiasm for good care permeates throughout the office. From the smiling faces at reception to Dr. Ricky’s surgical skills and his team of technicians in the hospital, I felt at ease. This level of care for one, propelled me to move all four of my animals to Sugar Creek. Dr. Ricky and his team are ABSOLUTELY worth the commute from Decatur!

We have been taking our 2 dogs to Sugar Creek Animal Hospital for the past few years and have been very satisfied. Recently we had to bring in our 13 year old dog because she had been wobbling and was unstable. Dr. Ricky and his staff have always made time for our Betsy and Tipper. We love our dogs like they are our kids. We were upset and worried it was the end for our Betsy. Dr. Ricky examined Betsy and looked into her eyes and said Vestibular Disease and it is treatable. My wife began to cry in relief. Dr. Ricky hugged her and said it will be okay. Dr. Ricky and his staff immediately began treating Betsy with an antibiotic injection and IV fluids. He sent us home with medicine too. Now this all sounds typical of most Veterinarian offices but Dr. Ricky and his staff truly care f

The groomers especially rose always do a wonderful job. We’ve been taking Max here for a while and have never had a complaint about anything.

Violet and Rose have groomed our fur babies for 6-7 years. We followed them to Sugar Creek because they treat our animals like their own. Any time your dogs try to jump out the window to get to the groomers you know they’re in good hands. We have three dogs that see them monthly. Our youngest is a Chow Chow and his coat requires an extra level of care and skill to maintain. Violet and Rose do an excellent job keeping him in show ready condition. He’s obsessed with them. I highly recommend them!
