Studer Family Children's Hospital Pediatric Emergency Care

One morning was our first time visiting this children’s hospital with my daughter, and I was truly impressed. From the ER check-in staff to triage, everyone was professional and efficient. The nurse was incredibly sweet and friendly with kids, which made my daughter feel comfortable and at ease. The doctor was thorough, took the time to find out what was wrong, and communicated clearly every step of the way. The hospital was also very clean and welcoming. Overall, it was a great experience during a stressful time, and I would definitely recommend this children’s hospital to other parents.

Staff was great! From the time you first walk in, the security guard was prompt and caring, the nurse was super friendly and relatable, the nurses in the back were very helpful and friendly. The only thing was the wait time but that can’t really be helped when there is a high volume of patients coming in. Would take my child to this ER again.

We were visiting from out of town and my daughter got sick. Check in process was amazing and the triage nurse did a great job with my daughter while she was throwing up and got her info and medicine in her quick. Once called back less than 5 mins the NP came in and immediately came in and made us feel heard. She ordered all tbt necessary test and got us taken care of efficiently. The nurses were top tier and explained everything to me and my husband. Made my baby feel comfortable. We were not planning to spend our Saturday in the ER but the staff made it as comfortable as possible. Thank you guys so much. The staff we had are definitely the dream team and I just want to say thank you again. Definitely can tell they love their job and it shows.

I always appreciate the care we receive at Sacred Heart Pediatric Center, but I want to give special recognition to Dr. Byron Weaver. We’ve had the privilege of seeing him twice — once when he was doing his residency and again recently as the attending pediatrician — and both times he showed incredible compassion and professionalism. Dr. Weaver takes the time to explain everything in a way parents can understand and makes sure we’re completely comfortable with any care our children receive. My wife and I both said we wish he had his own practice, because we would trust him with all of our boys’ needs. We’re truly grateful that he’s there for any family whose children may need him. Sacred Heart is lucky to have such a caring and dedicated doctor.

I had to take my son around 2:30am to the ER. Everyone, including the registration people and security at the entrance desk to the triage nurse and physicians, were awesome. They were very attentive to us and recognized we were exhausted. Special thanks to Dr. Weaver and the Resident physician who saw us and worked with compassionate and concern. They were very thorough. Spencer was our assigned nurse and he is amazing. We thank you for everything.
