Strand Urgent Care

This place absolutely sucks, they are IMPOSSIBLE to get in touch with. My fiancé and I have called them multiple times - periodically throughout the day waiting for “URGENT” ultrasound results and not a single person answers the phone. Update: We actually had to drive there to be able to get an answer.. apparently the doctor is not in again until Friday, we were seen on Monday and had the "Stat urgent" ultrasound on Tuesday. It would have been nice if the doctor would have told us that she wouldn't be in the office OR tell another doctor to give us a call about the results - considering she made it seem urgent. We were told we would have to pay again to be seen if we wanted the results before the doctor would be able to call us on Friday. Which is absolutely absurd if you ask me. We real

Although the wait was a little long (to be expected), I cannot tell you how much I loved Dr. Rachel. She saw both myself and my daughter for strep, etc. She was compassionate, thorough and knowledgeable. She has a great personality and bed side manner. I would absolutely use her for other things like primary care for our entire family!

I have seen Dr Vandergriff as well as Alicia Anderson and Rachel Dorr. Dr Vandergriff and Alicia for at least 10 years of me complaining about horrible pain and fatigue accused me of being a pill seeker. I finally got mad and demanded blood tests. I was positive for Lupus and R.A. as well as psoriatic arthritis. When my test results came back and she read them to me, she asked me why WE never tested me for this. My answer was because you were too busy accusing me of being a pill seeker! I then went to Rachel, who was amazing at first until she started lying to me about things. Final straw was her telling me she would get a letter for me related to my auto immune diseases, and she never did it. Rachel Dorr is one of the best Nurse Practioners I've had in a very long time. Shes thorough which I loved because a lot of the doctors I've seen since I moved to this area prioritize getting you in and out as quickly as possible instead of taking the time like Ms.Dorr did. They are lucky to have her.
