Straits Dermatology

My experience with Straits Dermatology has been fantastic! They have a beautiful new facility and the staff is excellent. The ladies at the front desk are very friendly and professional. The assistants are caring and very helpful. P.A. Allie is a very knowledgeable, caring and does an excellent job. Dr.Emily is very confident, energetic and excellent at her profession, I had a condition that I had been dealing with for several years at another dermatologist and it wasn’t getting better, literally within 5 minutes Dr Ptasik knew what the condition was and developed a plan of action. Now 2 months later my condition is greatly improved, looks and feels a 100% better. Straits Dermatology is great addition to the area and I would highly recommend them.

I mean if you have to go to the doctor, this is where you want to go! Beautiful new offices, with all the creature comforts you could ask for- fresh coffee and snack bar loaded with delicious drinks and snacks- GOOD SNACKS! Staff and reception were so friendly and competent. Very efficient. Once brought back to an examination room the PA and Doctor showed up quickly and they also seemed SO friendly and competent, and they were!!! My issues were readily addressed and cared for. They really made me feel comfortable and cared for! I know these folks are going to be very successful in this new Cheboygan endeavor... HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

From the very first phone call to schedule our appointments through our initial office visit, everyone on the team made us feel incredibly welcomed. The staff went above and beyond to explain everything in detail and took the time to truly listen to our questions and concerns. Our town is so lucky to have this wonderful new practice. I cannot recommend Straits Dermatology highly enough for all of your skin care needs!

Best dermatologist ever. Emily is all about problem solving and will find a solution to wherever you’re struggling with. She is not a do nothing dermatologist who will just take your money like all of the previous ones I’ve been too. She is determined to make you feel comfortable with your skin. I’m so glad she came to Cheboygan. The girls at the reception desk are so friendly too and call you by your name.

Scheduling was incredibly easy, and the staff maintained great communication leading up to my appointment, which I really appreciated. Check-in was quick, and the front office staff member was warm, friendly, and welcoming. I was seen right on time, and the entire team was efficient yet thorough. I also loved the direct, clear communication from the dermatologist—everything was explained in a way that made me feel both informed and comfortable. Overall, Straits Dermatology delivers top-notch care in a professional, patient-focused environment. Highly recommend!
