Stearns Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, LLC

I’m almost a year late with this review but better late that never. Stearn’s will forever get a wonderful review from me. My mother arrived there in terrible condition, she wasn’t eating, frail and very sick. She couldn’t do much for herself but by the time she left after 2 1/2 months she was completely back to doing for herself, eating and had gone from 98lbs to 141 lbs. I absolutely appreciate the staff and have the greatest respect and admiration for them. My mother was taken care of very well and I will forever be grateful to them. I simply cannot express my gratitude!

If you love your family at all, even a small amount even if you hate them. Don't bring them here, this place is so deceptive and rude. The nurses are amazing, the issue is the administration. They took paperwork for my grandma's Medicaid and never filed for Medicaid. Sent bills to an address my aunt hasn't lived at in 20 years. They will not contact you or be honest about the care they give to your family member. They almost killed my aunt who is special needs. She went from using the bathroom on her own in a wheelchair to having her first stroke and suffering 2 heart attacks in her life after being at Stearns for only 4 months. If you love your family please do not bring them here.

This is probably the most important review I ever gave on Google. I get it this family stuff is extremely emotional for all loved ones involved however the staff at this facility have a lot on there plate and the bottom line is the staff at the nursing home are out to take care of people the best they can. From what I see so far they are doing an outstanding job with my father. My dad went from a really bad situation to being on track doing much better very quickly once he was brought to this nursing home. I think its important everyone knows that they have done me and my family right by doing an outstanding job so far.

If you have someone here please check on them. Check for a fever. Make sure they are eating and drinking. Check for sores and infections. My father laid there and got so sick he couldnt move. Sores and infections lead to a blood infection. I was up there enough to know how much he was neglected. I should have visited this place and met the people that would be (not) caring for my father and did my research before he went there to be neglected. Please take my warning very seriously.

No staff, very deceitful, refuse to communicate effectively regarding concerns. My uncle called family crying on multiple occasions because poor quality of care and refusing to answer call lights timely. The home refused to give access of medical records. Stearns failed the patient in the discharge process. The nursing home sent my uncle home without following up with his primary care doctor. No records show they communicated with his cardiologist and they cardiologist was unaware of his admission in a skilled facility. When I tried to rectify our concerns with the SW Angie, Carolyn the Administrator and Theresa the Director of nursing...they refuse to resolve our issues.... instead of taking accountability they chose to try and put their work off on the family. No formal discharge plan to
