Staten Island University Hospital - North Campus

Stay away from this hospital at all cost. Extremely understaffed, Dr's don't do rounds they do everything on an app prescribe meds all on a computer without checking on patients. This hospital is filthy beyond safe. Was in a room for a week no one mopped floors no one dumps garbage cans ,they're overflowing. Prescribed meds shiw up 30-50 min past due time and if you're in distress and press assistance button no one shows up for 30 min or more. I am beyond disgusted with the level of care offered here. Asked for a pulmonary specialist and cardiologist and was informed since it was a holiday none were available. How do you run a hospital like this ? Food tray was delivered for dinner and 11pm still not picked up and no one took breakfast order so you get whatever they decide to give you. I c

Hello, I'm writing a review to recognize the ambulatory surgery team at this hospital. I was a patient due to a fractured patella and had to be kept overnight. The nurses, nurses aids and doctors could not have been more caring and professional. The facility was immaculate. We need more folks like them. An individual shout out to Vistell a nursing assistant who so kindly bathed me and made me feel human again. Thank you all so very much!

I just left their ER. I was skeptical about coming after reading the reviews and my situation wasnt drastic but I wanted to get checked just in case. The staff was extremely helpful and kind. I wasn’t there long neither. I’m leaving this review as a 5 star primarily due to their staff interaction. Polite, reassuring, honest, if they were unsure of something they stated that but gave a solution to get an answer to my question. I appreciated their courtesy. The hospital looked clean and waiting wasn’t long.

Had a great experience delivering my baby here! Comfortable and private room with showers! Nice staff! They can only have a certain amount of babies in the nursery which means that they can only take your baby during the night for about 3 hours. There is a charge to enter the parking lot. I requested to be discharged in the middle of the day, it took them many hours to get the paperwork done, was disappointing

I want to recognize the hospital security guard, Alexander. For his professionalism, dedication, and most importantly his kindness during a hard time. His presence truly made a difference in our experience at the hospital. This guard is a great example of excellent customer service and commitment to patient safety. We are forever thankful.
