Starling Pharmacy

Starling Pharmacy is a fantastic neighborhood spot in the Bronx! The staff is incredibly friendly and caring—they take time to answer questions, explain meds thoroughly, and even do free blood pressure/sugar checks. Free delivery is reliable and a huge help (especially in Parkchester), and they've handled my refills and insurance smoothly. Automated system seems to keep things accurate too. Only reason not 5 stars is it can get busy with short waits during peak hours, but the personal service is worth it. 4 stars—love supporting this community pharmacy!

My experience with Starling Pharmacy was extremely frustrating and unacceptable, especially given the urgency of the medication. I called on Thursday to request insulin and was clearly told it would be ordered so I could receive it by Friday. When I called on Friday, I was then told they still had not ordered it yet and would place the order that day, assuring me it would arrive by the end of the day—which did not happen. On Saturday, I was again promised that the insulin would arrive at 10 a.m. and be delivered by 1 p.m., but once again, nothing was delivered. When I called again at 6 p.m. on Saturday, I was finally told that the vendor did not even have the medication and the delivery had been canceled. This level of inconsistency, poor communication, and lack of honesty is unacceptable

The pharmacist is very unprofessional. He told he will order the medicine on Thursday which was an insulin. And then call the pharmacy on Friday he told me he ordered it. And on Saturday I called again at 12 pm they said it will be delivered in evening. In evening I was waiting for it when it was 6 pm and I still didn’t get the Medicine delivered I called them and now he telling me the vendor doesn’t have it !!! I am very upset. I am with out my insulin from Thursday. And I’m at high risk pregnancy my fasting sugar test is about 180 . Now I am crying because there’s no way I can get . If the vendor doesn’t have it they should have let me know on Thursday. So I could have transferred the prescription somewhere else. I don’t recommend any one to go there . I’ve been with this pharmacy since 2019, and to this day, I’ve never once thought about switching. The staff are always respectful, professional, and incredibly helpful. They know exactly what they’re doing, and it truly shows in the quality of their service. Even after I moved and the pharmacy became a bit farther away, I never considered looking for a new one — that’s how much I trust and appreciate them.
