St. Peter's Health

I debated on leaving this review but after much consideration I think it’s a must. yesterday, March 5, I took a client of mine to St. Pete’s neurology department. I do private home health and I’m 25 years into this line of work. Patient care is extremely important to me and I feel very passionate about it. That is why I decided to share this experience we had yesterday. As most Helena locals know, we have had Dr. Clark as the main Neurologist until recently. Yesterday we were going in to see Dr. Tullar who is the PA. I Will add that he was extremely helpful and professional towards my client who has Parkinson’s disease. We think very highly of Dr. Tullar. My client has dealt with this disease for more than 20 years. Unfortunately, the Parkinson’s affects so many parts of her daily living.

Dr. Sanders performed a surgical procedure at st peters hospital on me. His bedside manner is poor. He's not personable, friendly and not very detailed at informing you of stuff. He doesn't seem like he actually cares about the patient. After my surgery, he didn't come see me after anesthesia wore off and tell me how the procedure went. Or what to expect going forward. He supposedly called my husband, but didnt even identify himself. My husband thought it was a nurse calling. There were no post op care instructions or discharge instructions left by the doctor at the hospital. The nurses at st peters hospital were scrambling around trying to figure out how to discharge me without any instructions. This is completely upsetting, unprofessional and unacceptable. My ER bill was paid in full over a month ago. The check was cashed. However, my account has yet to be credited. I am still receiving paper bills and emails telling me to pay. So far, they have tacked on $89 in fees since the payment. I've contacted them three times. The local folks have been great and have tried everything they can to get the bean counters in Nebraska to credit my account.

Took a relative to the ER with Influenza A. After being triaged in the waiting room (understandable because they were busy), they sent her home after giving her a tylenol and a benadryl pill. In the meantime, her patient notes didn't reflect the details she had told them. Bloodwork was abnormal but they didn't say or do anything about it when she inquired. They wouldn't let her have any water to drink even though dehydration was clearly an issue. Her notes claim she had a medical scribe. There was no one taking notes. The notes reflect they did a number of checks on her for various things, they didn't do anything but listen to her heart and chest. DO NOT USE THIS ER or HOSPITAL. Kelley Dewey was the DO that treated her. You are better off driving to Bozeman, Great Falls or Missoula

I went to their Cafeteria this morning and usually their friendly but this morning the lady that helped me check out was rude and told me to use the other check out area. I explained that I don't have any money in my checking account and to pay cash for 2 whole milks and a bottle of water. After paying for my items I went to sit for a few and the sitting area was dirty. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE FOR A HOSPITAL CAFETERIA!
