St. Mary’s Urgent Care

My sick visit was quick and I was on my way with prescriptions called in for me. Dr VanHoose is very kind, knowledgeable, and caring. He explained what was going on and that I didn't need an antibiotic, thankfully. All the staff and nurses were friendly and efficient. I will absolutely return here if I need an urgent care and would recommend this location to others.

9-19-25 ( Friday) around 2:30 pm . My doctors office told me to go over to an urgent care to get swabbed for yeast & get urine checked for yeast. because I was having issues. After they got my urine, they told me they don’t check for yeast there. The Nurse Practitioner at St. Mary’s Urgent Care asked me a few questions and then refused to do a swab for yeast. She told me that I didn’t need the swab because I didn’t have _____. ______ ________( symptoms) .So it was a wasted 30 min visit! ( most of it was in the room waiting & nurse getting my vitals at the beginning). The nurse practitioner was also very rude and condescending and asked me a question I will not repeat here. I had a tooth infection that made me very sick. I ended up in the hospital and was given IV antibiotics. I thought I was septic. They sent me home and told me if I didn’t feel better in 2 days, go back and be admitted. On the 2nd day, I checked my temperature with a brand new thermometer out of the package and it was registering 93-94.9 degrees. I freaked and so did everyone else. I ended up going to St Mary’s urgent care to get it checked out because I didn’t want to sit in the ER for 8 hours again if I didn’t need to. Well it ended up being my thermometer. Brand new and not working right. I will never go to St Mary’s Urgent Care again. I just wrote on the triage sheet that I wanted a medical opinion whether I should go back to the ER again or not and a little bit of the background. A doc

Front desk worker & the nurse were both good, the male doctor how ever was very unprofessional. Could over hear him in the hallway and when he finally came in the room said I wasted my time coming there. He obviously didn’t listen to a word the nurses or I said and just wanted me out the door. Will never be back.

I've been going here for around 3 years. St. Mary's Urgent Care is definitely my preferred urgent care in the area (I have sworn off ever going to MedExpress again after numerous bad experiences). The wait is never that long, and the staff is always wonderful. The doctors have always been very knowledgeable, efficient, and friendly and have always accurately diagnosed my issue and given me the care that I need. I'm thankful to have such a good urgent care so close by.
