St. Mary's Regional Medical Center

I had the best care while being hospitalized at St.Mary’s. I need to send out 2 HUGE SHOUT OUTS to the best nurses! My daytime nurse, Jayme Lucas and my nighttime nurse Iilyssa Gonzales! Thank you for all the great care, talks, laughs and keeping my spirits up! You both deserve the DAISY AWARD for being the special and caring nurses you both are! Thanks to everyone else as well! My RT’s, CNA’s, and the blood people!!!!

Adrianna my nurse was extremely efficient. The older nurse did make my arm gush blood using the new IV system that they now have in place, which has never happened to me. They didn't have to poke me again instead they went straight thru the IV which was flipping awesome for me since I truly dislike needles. Doc was quick to come in to consult with me about my issues. Julia the EKG nurse was expedient. She was very sweet n had an excellent sense of humor. She came in while the nurses were getting me comfortable and ready for the doc. My surgery might not have went how I wanted it to, but the care of the staff was amazing! Dr. Peterson is extremely knowledgeable, and she was able to calm me down when I was emotional thinking I might have to go to the city. She was able to get me to buy-in, and trust her. My nurses were amazing! I was on 4N. Emily was welcoming the night I was admitted to the hospital for surgery. Liz, my night nurse for a wonderful two nights in a row, was an inspirational presence that made me believe I could and would get better. Her initial care helped me not give up. Beth knew her stuff. I am grateful she taught me the importance of using what is my inspiration inhalator. (I think that is what it is called). She helped me stand up, and put some tape on me to help with the pressure. The staff in the joint replacement unit, 3rd floor, were just the best. Their professional actions and knowledge was 1st class. They made me feel like family and I felt very safe while in their care

We had good care and nurses and doctors were great but we had a guest turned away without our knowledge bc too many ppl in room. Could have been handled better if we had known he was outside the door. He is a friend and we would have switched ppl. Hope it is handled better next time.
