St. Luke's Urgent Care: Eagle

PA Wesley & Nurse Jesse were awesome. They worked efficiently to stitch my 18m old daughter up after a nasty fall. I appreciated their communication throughout the whole process. While I hope we never have to go back, I do feel confident in returning due to the level of their care.

The Dr and staff were nice enough, but what can be done there is very limited. I've been there three times over the last few years, all three times they could not help me as they don't really have much capability. Sure there is a Dr who I have no doubt is decent, but no ability to run blood tests, no x-ray (that I am aware of). It's like walking into your regular Dr office. Maybe they can splint a bone but with no x-ray not sure how that can be done well. If you want a Flu, COVID test or have a belly ache, then they can deal with that. Keep in mind that just down the street is St Al's ER with just about everything a real ER has. (no in patient ability, but they do have nearly the full ER suite).

I have gone in on 3 separate times over last year with a cough and some lung pain. Each time refused to treat me and attempt to force a ER visit. A 5k to 10k visit. Each time , I have had to advise the medical assistant that I will not go to ER that I feel it was not needed. Each time turned out to be simple bronchitis or cough. DO NOT RECOMMEND GOING TO THIS LOCATION FOR URGENT CARE SERVICES!

Overall pretty disappointed with the level of care I received. The lady at check in was nice as was the lady who initially took me back. When the doctor car in, he didn't initially introduce himself, he simply said "So what's up?" Pretty unprofessional but later introduced himself. I got a test done and was waiting on results. A third person came in to take one more swab and didn't go over results or anything. I was simply given paperwork and told I was good to go. I was confused why no one would tell me what the results were, or let me know they weren't doing anything to treat the issue, OR even give any other recommendations to help ease the symptoms Im facing. Patients beware, despite this facility advertising as “urgent care”, they do not bill as one! Have been going here for over 10 years with my five kids using our Urgent Care benefits, as it was more financially feasible with just an Urgent Care copay to avoid the Emergency Room charges. During our most recent urgent care visit they nickel and dimed me for absolutely everything! I argued with insurance asking how they billed a surgical tray, each stitch and $10 for two ibuprofen they gave to my son for 3 stitches, a 20 minute visit exceeding $500?! Blue Cross confirmed that the claim St Luke’s Urgent Care submitted consisted of the visit as urgent care and everything else under emergency room services, which applied everything to deductible instead of our urgent care copayment!
