St. Luke's Health - The Woodlands Hospital - The Woodlands, TX

As my first visit to St. Luke’s ER since opening in the woodland’s I was pleasantly surprised all throughout the ER areas of my visit. I haven’t experienced a visit in quite awhile. A Friend and his wife shared their experience and I was very pleased they shared their experience and my visit was very comparable to their experience. Was only one glitch. And I will fix that when I return to the ER. I have had several bad ER experiences in the Humble area. Was very pleased with both the Orthopedic Dr.’s that I had the privilege of being seen by. So far I believe my search for a quality hospital and thorough ER is over.

A wonderful experience! The staff were friendly & welcoming, and Dr. Cockrill was patient & professional. Unlike at the blood draw place where the receptionist was cold & downright rude. Every staff member with Dr. Cockrill’s office smiled & greeted me with respect. That needs to be taught everywhere as I’ll get my future draws at Quest where the staff there is always ultra respectful.

I initially went into the ER for pneumonia and ended up having major back surgery while there. I am happy with the neurosurgery department and all they did to help me. Dr. Adams was great and although the outcome wasnt what he wanted, I was was okay with it. He was super attentive and a doctor that actually listened to me (which is a rare attribute in doctors!!!). I had some issues with the nursing staff in the ICU after surgery, but once they moved me up to the 4th floor things got better. I understand burnout is a real thing for nutses, especially when total care is required and with cost of living these days you can't just take a break, but feel that in high intense professions (like nursing) sometimes taking a step away and taking a break is healthier for both nurses and patients. I cannot say enough positive things about Spine surgeon, Gareth Adams and Nurse Practitioner, Vandergaag. The nurses on the entire recovery floor are all top notch. They spoiled me rotten. Be sure to ask for the yummy uncrustables. I had 2 spine surgeries 30 days apart. Each time I was walking the same day as the procedures. Overall the staff was incredibly kind, knowledgeable and professional. Easy 5-Stars!

I was extremely pleased and impressed with the level of service, professionalism, efficiency, and friendliness of the entire staff. From check-in to discharge, everything was handled superbly. My care team—including the anesthesiologist, nurses, and surgeon—was outstanding. Each person I encountered was attentive, compassionate, and truly dedicated to providing excellent care. The whole team deserves a big round of applause. Thank you all for your hard work, commitment, and the exceptional care you provided. Keep up the great work.
