St. Joseph's/Candler Urgent Care - Bluffton

Went here to check if I might have contracted Covid or the flu. From entering the facility with front desk staff, nurse doing intake to Dr Dawn examing me...they were all exceptional and professional. Highly recommend this site for your urgent care needs.

I had a wonderful experience at Saint Joseph Candler Urgent Care over the weekend. From the moment I arrived, the staff was kind, professional, and efficient. A special thank-you to nurse Eden, who made all the difference—she was incredibly comforting, patient, and reassuring, and helped me stay calm during my visit. Her compassion and attentiveness did not go unnoticed and meant so much to me. I’m very grateful for the care I received and would absolutely recommend this urgent care to anyone in need.

She is a top-notch, hard-working Dr., who possesses compassion, empathy, and kindness! She’s the #1 reason I return (in addition to all other kind employees). I appreciate this facility for many reasons, inc. hours/proximity/professionalism and urgency. I’ve been a long-time, reoccurring patient. 5 Stars, always! First visit: I explained I was traveling to Spain in 4 days and needed to be well, he said dismissively he wasn’t sure he could do that. Not a single moment of caring or interest. He asked about allergies and decided on cefdinir. I requested a Z-pak as it is a 5 day regimen and that I had taken it in the past with no side effects, a concern for a long flight and being out of the country. He insisted that it may not work for my diagnosis (chronic cough) and gave me a 10 day supply of Cefdinir which turned out to be a large 100 ml bottle of liquid for which CVS charged me $26. I called the practice to ask if he would please prescribe a Z-pak and he relayed back that it wasn’t recommended, but he thought he had called in tablets and would do so and the cost for those was $23. I didn’t fill it

I was able to log in on line and able to book an appointment in less than 2 hours. It was so much better to wait at home than wait at other clinics around other sick patients. I initially tried another Novant urgent care and could not book on line till the next day and when I called them the person at 9Am who answered the phone sounded very tired and stressed and couldn’t say when I’d be seen. StJC was easy to drive into and park. The waiting room at StJC Urgent Care was very bright, clean, comfortable and spacious and offered cold free bottles of water and free masks. I was seen shortly after my appointment time, my condition quickly assessed and had a prescription. Everyone was cheerful, respectful, and polite. I was back home by lunch and began feeling much better soon after. I’m glad
