St. Joseph's/Candler Physician Network Primary Care - Bluffton

Dr. Goldner took great care of me for 8 years before retiring from this practice. I was transferred to Dr Lutas, who is not available nor was any doc in the practice. Was told by Diane, office mgr. to go to a walk-in when I had a medication issue because it is a controlled substance. SJC had diagnosed and sent scripts for years. I have been unceremoniously abandoned.

The quote provided prior to service and the bill received is a huge difference. I called multiple times, and confirmed, that my out of pocket would be $92. Received a bill for $500, plus radiology for $36. Contacted customer service several times, with a promise of call back. No call back or response. I would recommend 3T MRI or Memorial hospital in Savannah.

Disappointing experiences with appointment scheduling. 1) In February 2024, I injured my foot. I was an existing patient of Dr. Anderson, but was not able to be scheduled until later in the summer. More disappointing than not being able to be seen in a timely manner was the staff's unwillingness to offer info on other providers to check with. It would have been helpful if they had mentioned there was an Urgent Care Orthopedic center just down the road in Moss Creek. The doctors at Doctors Care ended up being the ones to tell me about it. 2). On June 27 2024, I arrived at the office for my 8:00 AM appointment that had been scheduled since June 26, 2023. My primary care doctor was Charles Sevastos his office was at 10 Oak Forest Road, Suite C Bluffton, SC 29910 I was to have my follow up appointment & renewal of all my prescriptions for some serious long term health issues I have with him. He abruptly left the practice & the office failed to notify patients. I didn’t find out until I tried to renew my lifesaving medications, all I was told he’s no longer here. The office doesn’t answer the phones nor do they have any ideas on getting another primary care doctor. Totally abandoning all patients leaving elderly patients with health issues to fend for themselves. At least they should notify patients so they can try & find another doctor before they have to go to emergency & urgent care because they’re doc flew the coop. Update 2-8-23 Respon

This office is very personal. They took everyone in proper order when they arrived back from lunch. They are by far nice and caring. I did not see any actions that would make me question them. The new MRI machine was nice but still makes me feel claustrophobic while inside and opening my eyes. I would return definitely.
