St Joseph's Hospital

My experience with St Joe’s ruined my life. On June 12, 2023, I checked into St Joe’s for a routine cataract procedure. I contracted a MRSA infection in my eye. and ultimately lost most of the vision in my dominant eye. I can not drive, see to do crafts and sewing, or a lot of tasks around my home. When I found out I had tested positive for MRSA, I called the hospital and she was dismissive to say the least. I later llearned in the fall they closed that procedure room much later for cleaning, too late for me. I’m so miserable and tired of doctors after two years. Last appointment I was told nothing can be done about the damage the infection damage.

Went to the ER a few weeks ago. ER providers and staff were so kind and accommodating. Examination and X-rays were thorough. Floor staff were so kind during a difficult time. I highly recommend St Joseph’s Hospital.

My mother was admitted to the hospital this past week for for 4 days I instantly said we should move her then her Dr came in and I have to admit we had the best experience with Dr Ross he is a great asset to the st joes team. Very acknowledge and caring my mother received the best care from him. Kudos to Dr Ross for being the wonderful Dr he is we hope he stays with this medical team for years to come.

I was seen in the ER for an ankle injury. Every person that I encountered was friendly and kind. The entire process was fast and thorough . Although going to the ER is never something you want to do, I couldn’t have asked for better experience.

Dr. Waxmen is very unprofessional, my mom went in for a consult for knee surgery yesterday and she waited about an hour before being seen, then when he finally came in he was completely arrogant and acted like he had better things to do. He proceeded to shame my mom about her weight saying he “can’t do the surgery because it’s too fat and has too much skin” when there were people larger than her that he did say yes too and that were waiting. Very rude and professional I would definitely not recommend going to him unless you want your feelings hurt and time wasted. If you don’t want to do your job then don’t apply for it!
