Yesterday I went in for an appointment. When I came out to leave I couldn't get into my car, I am handicapped and I couldn't just climb over the seat. I had my walker with me, which was in the passenger seat and I was trying to figure out if I could get that out but then I realized there was no way I could climb over the console. So I am stuck! There was a nice gentleman that tried to help but he couldnt fit between the cars either. I went inside and asked the waiting area if anyone was driving the car, and the check in girl asked what was going on. So she sent an email to the people in the back to hopefully find the driver. After about 15 minutes she just walked in the back and came back with a sweet nurse to help. At this point im thinking maybe I couldn't fit because I am overweight but
I have very limited dealings with this business but the handful of times over the years that I've had to come here it's it's been a good experience. I know a couple people that are patients here and I've never heard them complain about anything they've never had issues in getting medicines or being seen. It's my understanding that there is a sliding scale of sorts for fees in an attempt to make health care a little more affordable.
Second time trying her. Was treat worse abd brushed off. I have been very very sick & left with nothing other than orders for blood tests, and an ultrasound over 3 weeks away for a swollen lymph node that constantly shrinks and grows ( meaning its not a tumor). I suspect an autoimmune disease of some type. Ive had alot of previous testing, medication trial and errors, etc. That Have lead me here. Due to this, my paratoid gland and lymph nodes swell causing severe sinus congestion, migraines. Loss of eye sight, pain in my neck and back, blurry vision, kidney infections, severe skin lesions and brown spots, weight gain, super thin balding hair, ear infections, sinus infections, asthma, vomiting & good sensitivities, depression, fatigue. And scatterbrain. I feel like I have the flu 24/7 and
My problem with urgent care is that they want to follow the books instead of listening to their patients. I have had sinus issues my entire 54 years of life. So when I say an antibiotic isn't working and the infection is getting worse, I know what I'm talking about. This is how patients end up in the hospital and it dead. Because nurse practitioners and Drs don't listen to the patients.
The receptionist should be terminated immediately. After advertising for walk-in rapid COVID and Flu-A/B via internet and phone menu, I was told, “We don’t do that anymore”. My son is displaying all but one symptom and I have to travel tomorrow. When asked about an exception to policy due to circumstances, she replied “Like I said before, set an appointment”. I was not remotely rude or upset. She was condescending at best. I hope she feels powerful in her rolling chair. This is as far as her professional career will ever go due to her attitude. Dr. Ray Leonard just lost a long-time patient due to his indirect staff. I feel bad for him, because he’s a great guy. Hopefully this will increase accountability within this specific practice.
