St. Johnsbury Center for Living and Rehabilitation

My experience with this facility was disappointing. I felt there was a lack of communication, and at times the staff came across as unprofessional and disengaged. It was disheartening to see how my family members were cared for, especially compared to the values and standards the facility promotes on their website. In my opinion, the coordination between staff, family members, and the broader medical team was not what I expected or hoped for. Based on my experience, I would strongly encourage others to explore additional options when considering care for a loved one.

Great staff, very very knowledgeable and supportive, Kim H. Is the BEST D.O..N I’ve ever met and had in my last 16yrs of major health issues, I’ve met a lot of D.O.N”s and Kim beats them all by leaps n bounds, Kim actually got my insulin pump back on me, thank you so much, there are so many good staff members, I could never list them all rite here , D.C, Abby, Mogon, Martha, Miranda, Rita, Temesha, Liz, Natalie, Karen, Ms.Vivian, kate, Luke, Buchi, Gabby, Alexis, Jen, Justice, Hannah Banana, Pam, max, Emily, Kayla, McKayla, McKenna, Christina, Rachael, Alyssa, Will (Dad) , Sara, Dave, the list could ea go on forever, it really could .

We went to visit our grandmother who was sleeping at the time. The staff said to wake her up because she sleeps most the f the time. They were exceptionally nice and so so helpful and friendly. One went back in the room with me to wake her up.

A short stay for rehab worked out terrifically.

To edit my review from months ago, can I give negative stars?? Absolute Negligence!!! Today I had a conversation with the DON and NP along with my father and step-mother about our concerns with his swelling. NP only wanted to have my father in bed more with his leg propped up. I explained how this is not possible to keep my father in bed for long periods of time due to his back and nerve issues. After going back and forth it was decided in the room we would start LASIK for his swelling, and to check his kidney functions and the NP left the room. Hours later we get a phone call saying the NP doesn’t believe his swelling to be bad enough for lasik and that he needs to elevate his leg more. Completely disregarding our conversation earlier.
