SSM Health Rehabilitation Hospital - Bridgeton

My husband had posterior cervical fusion multiple levels and he developed weakness of the right arm and generalized weakness. We were very frightened when we went to Ssm rehab rehabilitation, but the staff was so friendly and kind. They certainly are experts in their field and soon my husband was becoming stronger and doing much better. I would highly recommend them.

My husband in 2025 had the best care and therapy here. I was here in 2024 after knee replacement and had the best care and therapy here too. I seen a few of the the same nurses and therapists I had and they are so friendly and still doing amazing work with their patients.

I stayed here after a fall post TKR and the care I received was excellent! The OT was necessary to get me ready for getting in and out of tub style shower and seeing how bed height plays a difference in pain levels. He worked with my daughter to figure out the heights we used at home for bed, couch, tub and recommended some items on Amazon, so I was able to add them to my cart immediately instead of trying to find them later, to alleviate issues I had getting up and sitting down in the restroom. The PT was helpful in practicing real home application. It was often fun with group games and hide and seek items I had to use a reacher stick to bring items to my hand. My mother was a patient here and overall, we were happy with her care. The staff, including Therese and Kelsey, were kind and helpful, and we appreciated the support she received. We were originally told her discharge date would be June 18th, but around June 10th or 11th, we were informed that her insurance would only cover through the 12th, so she’d be discharged on the 13th — and that was fine. We started preparing, signed up for the day institute, and began the process of getting a home health aide. My family was very involved. We visited daily, completed physical and occupational therapy training, and learned how to care for her feeding tube, with help from a nurse at Barnes West.
