My dog needed a cyst removed as well as a lipoma. The surgical laceration was enormous, I don't know why. She was picked up after the surgery with no pain medication and no offer of a cone to prevent self trauma. We had to call them to request what should have been routine dispensing of pain medication. And upon return with a very weak dog in the car, no offer or mention of a cone. Needless to say, the dog licked away her stitches resulting in a 2.5 hour visit to Urgent Care on Sunday night. In addition to $400 to treat her urgently. I called and left a voicemail expressing my concern, fear and upset regarding the dog's treatment. I have been a client at Squan Animal Hospital for over 10+ yrs. First, as a volunteer for a local animal rescue, then, when I switched our personal pup over to them for care. Dr. Levin, Shannon and ALL the staff are the most competent, experienced, and compassionate professionals. They’ve handled everything from wellness checks, annual vaccines, ultrasounds, X-rays and dental surgery to final good-byes for us. They are kind, patient and respectful at all times. They go above and beyond to help the animals entrusted to their care. I am forever grateful to have found them.

Dr. Leven takes such good care of my fur baby! Chloe needed extra service and he sent me to GSVS. She is fine now.

We’ve been going here for 6+ years for both of our dogs. We’ve always had a good experience and chose them after visiting a few different vets because they were the best. Our boy Bear (on left) recently passed away and they handled the situation with such compassion and care. Truly cannot say enough good things about them🙏🏼
